Desert Rose is a variety of Selenite. It is a stone of the mind, as well as angelic stone. It is said to bring mental ability and clarity, as well as perception of all kinds, including intuitive perception. Desert rose is used in crystal healing to quiet worries and still the mind from distractions and disruptions. Metaphysically, desert rose is used to dissolve “programs” we have put upon our selves that are outdated or over-used. It is helpful for strength in meditation and affirmation. It can also be used for accessing past and future lives, will help to clarify your innermost thoughts and to expand your mental powers, will also assist in strengthening decision making and can help align the spinal column and remove energy blockages.

You can actually start healing people right after your very first level. I’ve worked on my headaches with the Reiki techniques and even though they do work, I dont find the aleviation to be that long.  Granted I was working in short 5-10 minute intervals but, do I see a difference? Most definately.

I will continue on with the practice and hopefully I’ll become really good at it. I find it very interesting so, as always, holding interest is a big thing, probably for anyone haha.

I was looking around online and I found this neat little guide that helps with reiki hand positions. I’ll throw it up here for download so you can take a look at it and see if its something you may be interested in doing! If you are, I’d try looking around or even asking around the metaphysical shops in your area and see if anyone near you offers the training. I think its worth it. I really do. Fire Agate is sometimes referred to as iridescent agate or rainbow agate. Fire Agate is said to be Arizona’s “Un-Official” State Mineral. Fire Agate is a cryptocrystalline silica with excellent hardness, about 7. This agate usually has inclusions of Goethite or Limonite which cause the stones to be iridescent.

The gem is thought to be formed when hot water saturated with colloidal silica and iron oxide invades cavities in country rock and begin to cool.

Fire Agate is known for its healing qualities as well as its connection to the energies of the earth. It promotes and enhances energy, including meditation, ritual, and spiritual healing energies. It may also be beneficial in healing problems with the stomach and endocrine system.It can also heighten creative visualization. Decided to go a new direction for myself. I have enrolled in Reiki classes to become certified in Reiki. I’ve always had a facination with stones, their vibrational levels and the energy points on the body. I have a few videos and a couple books that I’ve been toying with and I think that I’m ready to get some actual training. I can do some self treatment and I learned a couple hand techniques but I’d like to learn to do this professionally to help people.

I’ve been forever fighting with my 3rd eye Chakra and when I attempt to work it open, it gives me headaches. None the less I’m still working at it. Anyway, if you feel you have blocks, I’ve found these sites most helpful. I’ve even found and worked out a couple other blocks with my heart and root Chakra that I didn’t realize I was having problems with. I’m feeling alot better, but if I could just pry that 3rd eye open a little more….

As you know, I go pretty much dormant during the summer months. This is because I really do not handle heat very well. Its difficult for me to function and I really do suffer from “reverse” seasonal depression.

However, I have been cooking up (no pun) some new things I want to add to the website. First of all, a redesign is in order. I understand that people are having problems viewing in Firefox. This is because I dont use it.  Why don’t I use it? Because I design and update on a windows machine so I use IE. Firefox doesn’t like to play well with the way I like to design. Anyway, that aside I will work towards improving that. For now I’ve done a temp fix so at least its viewable, however, I’m not sure all of the site features are working.

Secondly, I will be doing live tarot and rune readings for people would like like to participate in that. Again, I don’t charge for this. I don’t believe in it. I feel that if I would start to charge for it, I would become uninterested and treat it like a job. I dont want to do that. This of course comes with stipulations. I will only be doing it once a week for a few hours at night. I will also only be doing a 3 card spread at first, and depending on time constraints, everyone will be alotted 15 minutes.  This will give plenty of time for me to give a 3 card reading and for you to ask any questions you may have. I want to stress this, it is very important, I AM NOT A PSYCHIC, I do not claim to be one. Tarot and Runes are a skill that I that I have learned and if you feel that your reading is inacurate, so be it. Cards say what they say. Keep in mind, everything that you hear should be taken lightly. Its all for fun. If you like, you can talk to me about anything witchcraft related instead if you are not interested in a reading, I love to share what I’ve learned with others.

If you live in another country and are unable to be present during the times I will be doing readings, email me a time when you are available and I will juggle things around a bit to help you out. This is only for people who do not live in North America. As much as I’d love to hang out all day on live chat and give readings to you guys, it isn’t feasable until I become independently wealthy. :)  I will be sure and post the time at least 4 days in advance so you know when I will be available. I will be using skype and we can either chat over text or over webcam, your choice. The reason I dont do appointments is because I really do not want to be chained to my laptop every night. I hope you can understand that. We all have lives and things we want to do. If that were to happen, I’d have to charge, and like i said, I really dont want to do that. I want you all to have fun free readings.

Lastly I will be incoporating more Voodoo and Santaria information into the website. There are quite a few witches out there that are in need of more information about these 2 subjects. Unfortunately, I have not found anyone who wants to discuss gypsy magick or chaos magick to me. Let alone teach me but, this is an area I hope to go into in the future.

What is more symbolic of witchcraft than a broom? A besom of course! While two names for the same object may seem only designed to confuse there is actually a commonly accepted small difference in definition for the two words~ besoms are usually made of twigs and are rounded, whereas a broom is flat and made of primarily straw. Does it actually matter which one you use? Not much, either will serve the same purpose, but owning a traditional witches besom may aid you in creating a sense of magickal awareness. The besom is used traditionally to clear negative energies from ritual space by sweeping. Often it is considered a masculine tool due to it’s shape being similar to that of a phallus, but in a traditional besom made of ash handle and and birch twigs would represent both male and female elements.
