Desert Rose

Desert Rose is a variety of Selenite. It is a stone of the mind, as well as angelic stone. It is said to bring mental ability and clarity, as well as perception of all kinds, including intuitive perception. Desert rose is used in crystal healing to quiet worries and still the mind from distractions and disruptions. Metaphysically, desert rose is used to dissolve “programs” we have put upon our selves that are outdated or over-used. It is helpful for strength in meditation and affirmation. It can also be used for accessing past and future lives, will help to clarify your innermost thoughts and to expand your mental powers, will also assist in strengthening decision making and can help align the spinal column and remove energy blockages.

Reiki Classes

Reiki class was actually really fun and informative. I actually completed and was attuned for level 1 and level 2 over a single weekend. We tried reiki out on eachother and learned about hand positions and how to do healing from a distance. The hardest part about Reiki is remembering the hand positions and what not. I also learned the symbolism used in physical and emotional reiki treatments. I don’t consider myself to be that good at the energy healing but I know with practice I’ll get stronger. At this point I’m content with performing Reiki so I am unsure if I will pursue master level (Reiki 3). Right now, I don’t feel that I need to. Mainly because I do not intend to train people. However, if I get to the point where i’m so unbelievable at it (ya right) I’ll more than likely continue on to 3.

You can actually start healing people right after your very first level. I’ve worked on my headaches with the Reiki techniques and even though they do work, I dont find the aleviation to be that long.  Granted I was working in short 5-10 minute intervals but, do I see a difference? Most definately.

I will continue on with the practice and hopefully I’ll become really good at it. I find it very interesting so, as always, holding interest is a big thing, probably for anyone haha.

I was looking around online and I found this neat little guide that helps with reiki hand positions. I’ll throw it up here for download so you can take a look at it and see if its something you may be interested in doing! If you are, I’d try looking around or even asking around the metaphysical shops in your area and see if anyone near you offers the training. I think its worth it. I really do. I’m happy with what I’ve learned and I do benefit from it. If you are in the Dallas area, Kayla @ The Silver Pyramid will offer classes from time to time.

Mexican Fire Agate

Fire Agate is sometimes referred to as iridescent agate or rainbow agate. Fire Agate is said to be Arizona’s “Un-Official” State Mineral. Fire Agate is a cryptocrystalline silica with excellent hardness, about 7. This agate usually has inclusions of Goethite or Limonite which cause the stones to be iridescent.

The gem is thought to be formed when hot water saturated with colloidal silica and iron oxide invades cavities in country rock and begin to cool.

Fire Agate is known for its healing qualities as well as its connection to the energies of the earth. It promotes and enhances energy, including meditation, ritual, and spiritual healing energies. It may also be beneficial in healing problems with the stomach and endocrine system.It can also heighten creative visualization. It strengthens the ability and will to manifest one’s life purpose on the earth plane. Promotes energy and strength, especially while healing. Will help one discover the truth in a matter and to aid in accepting ones fate.

Legend:  Fire agate is found only in the American Southwest and Mexico and wasn’t brought into commerce until after World War II. These agates have come from several areas of the Sonora Desert region of northern Mexico and southern Arizona.

Reiki Healing

Reiki means universal energy. It is a form of spiritual energy.
Reiki balances mind, body & spirit

Decided to go a new direction for myself. I have enrolled in Reiki classes to become certified in Reiki. I’ve always had a facination with stones, their vibrational levels and the energy points on the body. I have a few videos and a couple books that I’ve been toying with and I think that I’m ready to get some actual training. I can do some self treatment and I learned a couple hand techniques but I’d like to learn to do this professionally to help people.

I’ll let you know how it goes! I start on April 10th.

Prehnite

Healing the Chakras

Been on quite the hiatus. Many personal reasons, but I know I’ve been neglecting the blog. I will start posting more as of today. I’ve been working with Chakra therapy alot and I’ve found alot of good resources on how to open problem Chakra.

I’ve been forever fighting with my 3rd eye Chakra and when I attempt to work it open, it gives me headaches. None the less I’m still working at it. Anyway, if you feel you have blocks, I’ve found these sites most helpful. I’ve even found and worked out a couple other blocks with my heart and root Chakra that I didn’t realize I was having problems with. I’m feeling alot better, but if I could just pry that 3rd eye open a little more….
